Ever been to a Ping Pong Show?

So we landed in Bangkok and were wandering Khao San Road when we heard someone mention a 'Ping Pong Show'. A friend had recommended the show to Jackie so we thought we should check it out. We met a couple who are teaching in Bangkok, and they told us to find a show with no cover, because apparently it would be "tamer". Now, what exactly do you think a 'Ping Pong Show' entails? Because Jackie and I seperately concluded that the Thai must be really into the game and we were about to see a serious underground ping pong tournament with intense gambling and crazy ping pong tricks (think back flips, etc) and maybe even some bloodshed.

Anyways we met a friend named MJ while getting Pad Thai on the street (he is from Jordan and is working as a diving instructor in Ko Tao) who decided to accompany us so we hopped in a cab and went to the area known as Pat Pong. We finally got to the show, and needless to say we were sorely mistaken. If you are not as naive as us I am sure you have deduced by now that a 'Ping Pong Show' is code for a sex show (which by the way Bari knew and neglected to mention. Sicko.). There were naked women doing special... tricks... which I really believe require some serious talent. Anyways it turned out they lied about the 'no cover' (if this was tame I don't want to know what you get when you pay for it) and after getting into a lovely fight with some scary Thai women we decided it was time to book it. Quite the eye-opening experience.
